About
I'm a seasoned private English tutor with over 5 years of experience, 2000+ tutoring hours under my belt. My work is based from Los Angeles, CA, but I teach online to students from all over the world so far 200+ students of various nationalities and holding a handful of long term client relationships lasting 1-2 years and an average of 5 star ratings. I specialize in simplifying complex language concepts and instilling confidence in my students.
My passion for language and helping students express themselves has been a rewarding experience. As someone born and raised in California of an immigrant family, I understand first-hand the challenges of adjusting to a new language and culture. Languages are my speciality, in addition to English I also speak French, Italian, and some Spanish.
I have studied and worked in French-English translation and published a book of translated poetry. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature and a Masters in Fine Arts.
Methodology
My dynamic ESL classes are held on Google Meet, and we work together from a shared Google Doc. Interactive discussions span everyday topics to tech and culture. Live grammar corrections aid fluency, homework reinforces learning, including TED Talks and writing exercises. Flexible scheduling via website. Supportive environment fosters confident language mastery.
